Bismillah.
Last year of Ramadhan, on particular days, after cooking for berbuka together, we spent the rest 30-45 mins before maghrib playing UNO -we even invited our kak usrah for the game.
Sahur, sleep, fasting, breaking the fast, terawih, and sahur again. Since we had almost 16 hours of fasting, our night was only for berbuka, maghrib and terawih -we slept after 3 am fajr prayer. I do know my housemates did gave all of their effort for amal ibadah but on my own part, I hadn't performed my best for that holy month as I know I could do it better.
This Ramadhan it is going to be different -and it has started being different.
Yesterday, Sharina made chili grilled chicken wings, Hajjar was responsible for roasted potato and I did carrot and pineapple salad. Since sharina marinated the chicken wings earlier, we managed to finish cooking for our berbuka within one hour and half which left us with 30 mins before maghrib to cleanse our soul.
Three men whose invocation is never rejected are: when a fasting person breaks their fast, the just ruler and the one who is oppressed - Ahmad, al-Tirmithi – Hasan
It has been said that minutes immediately before breaking fast is the golden moments for one's invocation to be accepted. How beautiful it is that Allah want to reward us that much at the end of our fasting day, as celebrating that one act of worship by us with His great blessings. All left for us is either to take it or leave it.
This year we choose to take it; grab the reward. No uno but dua'.
May we are all blessed with good Ramadhan this year. Amin.
