Bismillah.
This post is not for any purpose but to reflect myself.
I remembered one time my housemate told me that one tips Wani shared with a friend (it was intended for a joke) to be friend with me is "to have a real patience". I don't take that as a negative neither a compliment. But a truth.
Knowing Wani, she is one of good talkative friends I have ever had. One time I had a sleepover at her place in Sheffield for a site visit, she welcomed me with lots of generosity and food. That was my second visit where she treated me with M&S's strawberry trifle, cooked the next morning cekodok with kuah kacang and nasi lemak ayam masak berempah. She even packed me some to bring home.
The first visit was the same. Brownies, dumplings and lots more that I failed to recall due to the limitation on capacity of my long term memory.
Not only Wani, when I went to Essex last month to my high school friend's, she did her grocery shopping beforehand for us (another one friend came to visit from Malaysia) so that we would not starve. And she did ask me every one hour, "mg lapar ko?" because she was afraid she didn't feed me properly hmm. Now you know how I gained weight.
Wani came to visit me firstly during my second year and this year for NMG. The first time she came, I cooked with her mee kari which was lacking in all aspects mainly on its taste since I wasn't preparing for the ingredients earlier. She baked brownies for my housemates as well. Lucky her, the first visit I was not burden by studio workload. The second visit was unfortunate. I had studio deadline, had to bring another group of friends coming for NMG for a tour around the city and another one friend from college came to sleepover. I think, I didn't properly welcome the guests that day.
But the biggest mistake I did that day was to prioritize my sleeping needs rather than attending to my guests' needs. I let her sleep without having her dinner as I was too exhausted from the tour on the day.
That I think is one of the lacking I struggle to fix it.
I treasure my sleep slightly more than I supposed to.
I picked up the habits of 10 hours sleep when I was in high school but ever since I had tried to reduce it to a good number of 5-6 hours. But sleep always score the highest in my priority list. While I know that according to many reputable sunni muslim scholars, we suppose to treat sleep as no more than a fundamental need to be fulfilled, that we hold a greater responsibility for every secs of our breath, it is not easy to remove a stubborn stain.
I pray to Allah, may we all use His Blessings towards good (I am still at the phase of utilizing my time to the good) amin amin amin
and this video is me trying to summon all the courage to start 'documenting' my soon-to-end degree life. Happy making a good wonderful degree life.

The Messenger of Allah (s) said:“No foot of a servant (of Allah) will move on the Resurrection Day before being asked about four things: his years and how he spent them, his body and how he used it, his wealth and how he earned and spent it, and about his love towards us, the Ahlul Bayt (a) (This hadith is narrated by Suyyoti in Ihya' al Mayyit, p.36)
I pray to Allah, may we all use His Blessings towards good (I am still at the phase of utilizing my time to the good) amin amin amin
